The G1 SCBA is assembled by hand in Murrysville, Pennsylvania, and the video below lays out the whole process. It’s worth a watch. The 315 women and men working at that facility machine the metal themselves, assemble the units, test, diagnose, the whole nine yards.

The video is cool, and worth a two minute break in your workday.
